NEXTWAVE MEDTECH HACKATHON Is a student-led health hackathon integrated with the Clinician Entrepreneurship Change Agents Program (CECAP) established by Griffith University in the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct. It’s the main innovation-driving initiative of the Next Wave Medtech community. The hackathon aims to connect promising clinician entrepreneurs with up-and-coming engineers, designers, business experts and healthcare personnel for ideating, designing, and building out their innovative device, software or digital solutions.

INNOVATOR MEET UP
A social information evening about the schedule of the hackathon. Meet the clinicians of the CECAP program and hear them describe the problems they wish to solve. Project applications start!

02.
PROJECT TEAMS RELEASED
Project team applications close 24hrs after Innovator Meet-up and are released the following Monday.

PRE-HACKATHON DEVELOPMENT
Progressive development of ideas and sharing of insights within teams.
Opportunity for engagement between clinicians and students.

HACKATHON WEEKEND
Focused development of ideas with mentoring and support.
