BiVACOR, the US-based company behind the world’s first rotary artificial heart has located its international office into the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct at Cohort where it will conduct final blood compatibility R&D with the world-class Griffith University Mechanobiology Research lab. The company hopes to implant its revolutionary total artificial heart device into the first patients within 2-5 years.
