Queensland’s growing quantum community came together at the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct for Quantum Australia‘s Quantum Connect: Powering the Startup Ecosystem, hosted in partnership with the Precinct at Cohort Innovation Space.
The event brought together researchers, founders, industry, students and entrepreneurs to connect, share ideas and explore the opportunities emerging around quantum technology and commercialisation.
As quantum technologies continue to develop, building connections between research, industry and entrepreneurship will be critical to turning new ideas and capabilities into real-world applications.
Quantum Connect provided an opportunity for people at different stages of that journey to meet, whether they were already working in quantum, exploring a quantum-adjacent idea, considering startup pathways or simply looking to better understand Queensland’s emerging ecosystem.
For the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct, hosting the event also reflects the continued evolution of the innovation community growing here.
While health innovation is at the heart of the Precinct, many of the technologies shaping its future increasingly cross traditional sector boundaries. Quantum, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing and data are creating new opportunities for researchers, startups, and industry to collaborate and solve complex challenges.
Events like Quantum Connect help create those connections, bringing new communities into the Precinct and opening the door to future partnerships, ideas and opportunities. The strong turnout highlighted the growing interest in Queensland’s quantum ecosystem and the appetite to connect emerging technology with entrepreneurial capability.
The Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct was proud to partner with Quantum Australia to bring Quantum Connect to the Gold Coast and support the conversations helping shape what’s next.
