The future of AI is being shaped right here on the Gold Coast — and the momentum is only growing.
Last week, the AI Rising showcase lit up the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct (GCHKP), bringing together the region’s most innovative minds for an evening of live demos, storytelling and connection. Hosted by the Queensland AI Hub Gold Coast Chapter, the event highlighted the strength and creativity of our growing AI ecosystem.
The showcase featured five standout local startups developing real-world solutions across health, legal, business operations, and smart infrastructure:
-
Zeligate – an AI workforce platform redefining the future of work, helping teams scale output without increasing headcount.
-
ezylegal – combining AI with expert legal insight to deliver efficient, empathetic and accessible legal solutions.
-
Sophiie AI – a powerful AI tool streamlining operations and boosting customer experience by eliminating admin and capturing opportunities.
-
Ascenda – a mental health tech solution offering AI-assisted onboarding, conversational intake, and personalised psychologist matching.
-
SmartAIConnect – helping organisations integrate AI safely into their security systems, ensuring smart, secure, and scalable operations.
GCHKP’s Senior Manager for Industry Growth, Aaron Isted, introduced the event, which attracted a full house of founders, investors, students and tech enthusiasts. The energy in the room reflected the bright future ahead for AI innovation on the Gold Coast.
“Each of these startups is not only pushing the boundaries of what AI can do, but also a testament to the strength of our local entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Mr Isted.
With artificial intelligence poised to transform industries and improve lives, the GCHKP is proud to support the entrepreneurs and researchers developing cutting-edge AI solutions with global potential — all from our vibrant innovation precinct.
