NeuTex Image-Guided Surgery and Robotics Training Centre

A world-first surgical training and R&D facility advancing image-guided procedures and robotic innovation.

NeuTex is the only image-guided surgery and robotics training centre of its kind globally to operate outside a hospital. Established in partnership with Philips, the centre specialises in advanced neurovascular, cardiovascular and orthopaedic procedure training using Philips’ state-of-the-art Azurion imaging platform.

Led by globally recognised interventional neuroradiologists Dr Hal Rice and Dr Laetitia de Villiers, NeuTex offers immersive, simulation-based training using personalised 3D-printed anatomical models produced at Griffith University’s ADaPT Institute. With a strong focus on R&D, the centre plays a key role in testing new surgical devices and advancing robotic capabilities for the future of remote, AI-enabled surgery.
