Australia's first built-to-rent community

Developed by one of Australia’s leading private developers Grocon, on behalf of the Queensland Government, the $550million Parklands residential community within the Precinct was established as the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Athletes Village and successfully played host to 6,600 athletes and officials.

Widely regarded as one of the best athlete’s villages of any Games, the village will be transformed from 2019 into an exciting master-planned community offering 1252 apartments and town-homes and a retail and dining precinct that will enliven the main streets and help create a 24/7 environment for collaboration, inspiration and recreation.

A program of events will create a vibrant community atmosphere and celebrate the Gold Coast lifestyle.


Seven hectares of parkland with walking paths and public art surround the residences and the vibrant village heart is flanked by the 9.5 hectares that are being developed for health and knowledge commercial investment.

The new community will be home to approximately 2,500 residents and offers residents access to a community centre, rooftop terrace, BBQ’s, pool, gym and fitness areas and running track.

A mix of one, two and three bedroom dwellings are set to be available on the rental market from early 2019.
